The Tail of Mali

Mali is a mullhead;
Swaggering and totting
in her tiny li’l penbed.

Mali was born an elephant;
Yes, those huge
huggable cutestant.

They are social beings yep;
Galliwaggling in herds
under ole’ mommyhep

But Mali had rotten luck;
Torn from the family
when she was but, a wee cluck.

She holds her tail;
In ele-pain
to soothe her ail.

Let’s pledge to ‘cott zoos;
So Mali and her kindreds
keep safe from biggityboos.

The prompt for Day 18 of NaPoWriMo 2017 is to write a poem that incorporates neologisms and my poem is inspired by the story of Mali.
