Her mind

in reverie;

Her head

tumultuous mess.

She kept confined

this melee;

For her smile

wouldn’t confess.

 

The prompt for day 1 is to write a Kay-Ryan-esque poem: short, tight lines, rhymes interwoven throughout, maybe an animal or two, and, a sharp little philosophical conclusion.
